Making Sense of Your Changing World

Growing up is hard. With so many new experiences coming at you it’s normal to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about your life. Peer relationships, the search for love, your changing body and self-image, finding a way to be yourself and be understood; these are just some of the challenges that teens face. You may have a difficult relationship with a parent, or perhaps you’re struggling with sexuality or gender identity. You may feel concerned about becoming an adult in an uncertain world and asking yourself questions, such as “How am I supposed to live?”, “Who am I?”. Talking with someone about what you’re going through can help.

A place To Be Your Self

It could be that things just don’t feel “right”, but it’s difficult to know what you need and how to ask for it. Do you keep your thoughts to yourself because it seems impossible that someone will understand you? Maybe you just need someone to try. It can help to explore your feelings and frustrations with a therapist, a non-judgmental ally whose only agenda is to support you in becoming happier and healthier. Together we can find out where you are strong. Together we can help you handle your life.

I provide a safe environment and an open mind; a place where you can bring your questions, worries, hopes and fears. I offer a space that is comforting, and a time that belongs to you alone. Our work is confidential. I provide support and guidance to help you make healthy choices about your life; choices that feel authentic to you and are in alignment with your needs, your emerging interests and your deepest self.
